Seven adults, three teenagers a day a baby descended upon this fine, friendly and lovely inn situated in the main street of Newton Stewart. We had four from USA, four from Scotland and three from England. We were shown to our seats immediately on our arrival and after a short period of time our waiting staff took drinks orders. We ordered a range of soft drinks, a couple of real ales and a Stella. All delivered in a flash. Now to the food orders.... Lasagne, veg burger, a combo, fish and chips, several burgers and three steak pies with a dash of scotch. I did say to myself this will be fun. I noticed that chef was on his own. After a not too long wait the food all arrived more or less at the same time. A feat I must say that surprised me. Everything was piping hot and properly cooked. Well done. We shall return and I would recommend this lovely wee gem to anyone else who finds themselves in the area.
